about play writing process

This play is not one person’s story - it is a story made from many voices, many lives, woven into one.

Before writing it, I spoke with different people, listening to their experiences and struggles. The idea was born during my time working as a journalist in Georgia, where I was researching the quality of life for LGBTQ+ individuals.

I remember the stories of those who struggled to come out in a deeply traditional society - stories of fear, silence, and resilience.

But this play is not only about one country. It is about LGBTQ+ people everywhere who are still fighting to be seen, to be accepted, and to live as their true selves.

This is not a single narrative.
It is a story of a community.
A story of struggle, identity, and the courage to exist.
